HTTPS/SSL and Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP) Technology
Apptix OnDemand™, our customer web portal, is accessed
via secured HTTPS using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
encryption. This same protocol is also the means by
which our users access Exchange OWA. Moreover, MS
Outlook users have the option to connect using either
published MAPI or Outlook Anywhere, the recommended
connection protocol. Outlook Anywhere, previously
referred to as RPC over HTTP, allows users to securely
connect to Apptix's Exchange 2007 (or 2003) servers
hence removing the need for a Virtual Private Network. |
